Just sync'd git and pushed a new LMS build to testing repo. For anyone
already using the repo you can manually update to it. (Testing repo not

Hi Howardyiu, SamS,
I have my LMS server on a Raspberry Pi, so it may be different on a NAS,
but I never have to reboot it. If the piCorePlayer doesn't appear on LMS
or on iPeng it has turned out to be an incorrect setting on Squeezelite
which prevented squeezelite

I'm afraid that there was a version 1.17a available for some hours which
will announce itself as 1.17.
if you can see your MAC address on the squeezelite settings page, in the
help text to setting the MAC address, then you have version 1.17a

Can I just confirm that you are new to LMS and the Squeezeboxs in
general?
Have you used LMS with other devices? Is it working?

I just checked with my pi, and I don't see this problem. (I'm only able

Hi
I have the same problem than Howardyiu.
LMS on Synology does not recognize the picoreplayer. A way to solve that
is to remove the address of the LMS server (x.x.x.x:9002 in my case) in
the squeezelite configuration and reboot. Then everything goes correctly
and the LMS on synology recognize
Port 900x tcp (9000 ,9001,9002 and possibly some other ) is the web-UI
port 3483 is slim proto for the players , never used pi core but on any
other squeezebox ( or software player ) you just give the ip number .
In most cases a player will auto discover the server , if it's on the
same
I experience the same as pnaga with my QNAP nas.
When filling in the IP server adress Picoreplayer does not show up in
LMS, and LMS is also responding very slow.
After removal of the IP adress everything works fine.
afaik, there are no pre-built binaries for perl 5.20 (yet?), so you'll
either have to downgrade perl to 5.18, or build LMS yourself.

Sorry, my fault. I indeed used xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:9001
Now it's working fine.
Thank you guys!

Do you use the correct port number. If you haven't changed

Hi alnames,
Are you using the right port LMS number? See the previous couple of
posts. Do you really need to set the MAC address, I never do? Test

Thanks for reporting that. I think it is because the web server is
started

Hi steen,
I can find the player in the web based lms finally by choosing audio
output as u suggested and typing the IP of the NAS. Dun reli know why i
have to key in the ip, maybe connecting via switch is a matter.
BTW, the audio output is with quite a lot noise, I think it is

Thanks, I hadn't thought about binaries being available. For now I have
