hi kolossos4730,
Good to see you have something working!;)
By DIY, I mean any hacking, hardware or software. We don't do a lot of
discussion in this thread about actual coding, its more about adjusting
the piCorePlayer settlings and options.
BTW: I don't

I have been unable to get LMS to start. I am not qualified enough even
to call myself a Linux novice. Any tips welcomed.
The system is a mini-ITX running ClearOS 6.4.0 on an 8Gb Compact Flash.
The storage is a 1Tb HDD.
In PuTTY I get:
# service squeezeboxserver start
Starting Squeezebox

Thanks for the answer. I know nothing of Linux so I don't know how to
get rid of stuff, or how to decide what should be got rid of. From my
perspective, as a start, I could ditch all logs as I wouldn't know what
to do with a log. But how...?
How do I decide what to delete and how do I do it?

But to answer your general question, SOA does not use RT Kernels.
Some people at work have been using RT kernels for a particular project,
and they're
'No space left on device' means that your device is full.
running
df -h
will show you the file system usage then you can decide where you need
to free up some space. /var/log probably contains old log files that you
can delete.

The flash card could be marginal there are startup parameters to get LMS
to store the cache and dB elsewhere and probably also move the log
directory .
You have to write those to the startup script i think ?
the size of mine /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/ is 3.9 GB this includes
cache and plugins

Hi Arie,
We would probably add the script if we had a pi-amp to test. Steen may
already have one, I am not sure.
It sounds like you have a good understand of the code, not bad for your
first script.

Greg
Yep I have a pi-amp so I will test the script

Greg,
I know it's a niche market but in my case specific to piCorePlayer as
there is no support for unmuting the pi-AMP (yet?). Maybe others could
benefit from this script.
Code:
RESULT=`( echo $PI_MAC_ADDRESS $COMMAND; echo exit
