Not a previously known issue, but it is now.
You will need to ssh in, and edit the file
/usr/local/etc/pcp/pcp.cfg
Set these two variables to no.
IR_LIRC="no"
IR_KEYTABLES="no"

That was a clue. Thanks! Old browser and old OS. Switched to a different
computer and it worked. Don't know why it worked with pcP 5.0.

By the way, it might be good to add a line to the first post
(instructions) that lircd is NOT "required" at all, if one is running
jivelite. Sorry if it obvious to others, but that was a bit of a aha
moment for me. Once I realized that, the rest was straight forward.

ok my Jivelite disappeared. Under Tweaks there is only pCP System
Tweaks, nothing else!

after un-installing the lirc and keytables support, my pcp still only
offers the uninstall buttons and I cannot install the keytables support,
again.
Is this a known problem? Can I fix this somehow, e.g. by manually
installing stuff?
Any help would be great!
