I have installed another sd card with Volumio (with changes described
from MKSounds).
Then I have sound without noise.
When I put the other sd card with piCorePlayer into raspberry I get
sound with noise (no other changes in hw, wiring or ADAU1701 config).
Because of that I thought there must
Most likely, you have an inconsistent i2s configuration. Have you
checked the wiring and ADAU1701 config as described in the original
repo:
https://github.com/MKSounds/ADAU1701-I2S-Audio-Driver-for-Raspberry-Pi#settings-of-the-adau1701
yes, if you can run a ssh session/script from automation, then that
works. The device has to be present to be able to restore the
settings.

Sometimes that is the case, correct.

This is often the case.

Well, I was curious about this
Hello,
I try to get an ADAU1701 (Sure DAC) running with:
- Raspberry Pi Zero Wh
- piCorePlayer6.0.0.img
***
Planned system:
Logitech Media Server (LMS)
Raspberry Pi 4 with piCorePlayer -> LAN -> Router -> WLAN...
Speaker right
WLAN -> Squeezelite
It sounds like you are starting the system with the speakers powered
off, or are disconnecting and then reconnecting them. The only solution
is to build creative udev rules.

If your system is only a player, then the on/off switch is a cheap/easy
option. No need to shutdown the system
If your system is also enabling LMS in piCorePlayer, then you need to do
a controlled shutdown before killing the power.

I run two pi into the same dac, one is pCP player via USB and the other
RaspiOS (squuezelite Digione) into a co-ax rca.
I have not tried syncing, but will give it a go later today, or
tomorrow.
I would suggest a fresh install for both pi--only a few minutes.
I think I have

Another option is to buy a USB cable with a switch. This is not fancy
stuff ... but I thought I'd mention this option here. There are severel
in the market with USB-micro (for Pi 3, etc) and recently this one was
announced for the Pi 4:

Hello!
I have a piCorePlayer 6 installation with LMS and to use it also as a
headless player I attached USB Harmon Kardon Soundsticks to it.
To get good results for volume I had to use alsamixer:

I saved it using the website:

If I am not using alsamixer the music is nearly off at
I have managed to get a remote to work. I have a Harmony 650 and read
that it supported the squeezebox touch remote. Installed picoreplayer's
default LIRC files, set GPIO pin to 4 and it's all up and running with
the Harmony.

Once they loose sync, sometimes weird things happen. But if your seeing
that large of a pause, it is most likely network related.

Yes, I see those settings. Which setting would alleviate the problem I
am having with a Raspberry Pi pausing often for as long as 30 seconds or
so when synced? Or I do I have
Hi all,
I have noob question. -Is it possible to have two USB2/USB3 ports
activated at the same time on the PiCorePlayer (RP4) and
loaded/populated with two identical USB-interfaces. (example: Amanero
with identical firmwares)?

I would say it is dead. But it is maybe six months old. Strange.
