Thanks shunte88.
I'll skip gomonitor for now. Just need the basics.
I gave up on the project that I initially ordered OLEDs for... It was
just too bulky.
The OLED is too nice to let it sit around, so I was able to get it
working with iPeng.
So barebones A+ stream to iPeng playback.
gomonitor wraps the lmsmonitor call for ease of use
it really just ensures the environment is ready, kills any prior
versions that may be running and works out the name of your pCP setup
I deploy it as a helper or starter script for folks to use
if you're happy to roll your own, and from your
My guess is that it cannot listen on port 80 because ports below 1024
require task to run as root ... and also LMS objects when it is run as
root.
There might be an iptables or setcap way of getting around it - but not
something I have looked into for ages.

My router also uses fixed channels (selected manually to minimize
overlap with neighbors) in the 5 GHz spectrum. That's not the issue.
It's not
Hi,
Does anyone know, is there some protection for setup port 80 for gui?
I am installing the official container in as bridged with own IP
address. I am adding the environment parameter HTTP_PORT=80 and the
console log looks nice:

I'm under the impression that you can have at least 2 drives for music
storage. Are there any caveats to that? Can I have 500GB USB drive and a
250GB USB drive?
Thanks,

Did the firmware blob for the brcmfmac driver change between pCP 6.0 and
7.0? I've found https://github.com/piCorePlayer/firmware-rpi-wireless
but I assume that that repository is not used anymore.
Any chance to change the blob (experimentally) on an existing pCP image
or would I have to do a

About every 2/3 month there's an update and that since the beginning of
RPi4 times..
And then there's the bootloader config management. Defining all the
boot-parameters etc.
IMO you won't get around it.

The default firmware has not been updated since 9/3/2020. How is that
all the time?
The package is the exact same package that rpi supplies, with
environment updates needed for pCP, which means you have access to save
configurations and change the config if you want. And of course it will

Hi.
Is gomonitor still a thing? Every attempt including latest build, it
parses a lmsmonitor string for me to use. No way to run gomonitor, just
pushes me towards lmsmonitor.
I can successfully run lmsmonitor -o7 on every attempt at the console,
but once I copy and paste into tweaks I get
Another small thing is the link to the timezone folder which is
typically "- /etc/timezone:/etc/timezone:ro" but on Synology it's "-
/etc/TZ:/etc/timezone:ro".
Thanks, added.

But piCorePlayer is a tiny OS and not a bloated one with endless
features.
If you need the things, It will be easier to have another SD-card
flashed with Raspberry Pi Imager with the newest Raspberry Pi OS and

I've actually seen that one. I couldn't believe that this is gonna be a
long term approach.

Hi Michael,
thx for fixing the "@eaDir" issue.
Another small thing is the link to the timezone folder which is

Maybe it's possible to make a hint on Docker Hub docu.
