Thanks for clarifying that!
Even though we may be divided by a common language, I think I understood
what you said. Thanks!
LMS 8 nightly; 3 Squeezelite players
I am curious about the remove rule.
It looks like it will activate whenever *any* USB device is removed.

There is a nice feature under [Main Page] in [Beta] mode > [Extras] >
[Asound] to configure things like volume balance and stereo/mono/swap
channels.
I used it in previous releases of piCorePlayer. Think it was 5; now I am
on 7.0.1
This feature is not working anymore. If I leave the field
ok, thxs.
the last audio project took a lot out of me so going to take a break.
i'll try out the non-glass at the end of march when i start new project.
i'm already designating a space for this OLED in my build, so crossing
fingers.
i'll report back if it works (hopefully SPI 4-wire).

Hey Robb
Sorry about the delay, I could not connect to forums.slimdevices for
about an hour or so.
As I said in my earlier post I have always thought -z was not necessary,
and to be avaoided.
I have no recollection of

Thanks Paul. One last question, of course. Is they a file that stores
the Jivelite set up so I don't have to redo all my menus, etc.?
Thanks again,

Does anybody else know of reasons why -z is deprecated?
LMS 8 nightly; 3 Squeezelite players connected by powerline ethernet; 5
wireless players connected via Airplay Bridge; 1 SqueezeAmp player
no high-end or esoteric audio gear
1 Squeezebox Radio (upgraded UE Smart Radio) now mostly retired
I am not the docker expert. My question is only if there is a
possibility for inexperienced Synology users to simply install the LMS
correctly on Synology NAS via the integrated docker gui.
Correct also means with the etc/ paths to timezone and localtime.
Because using the integrated synology
Ethernet and wifi have different mac addresses, jivelite retains mac
addresses, so when you switch, it thinks it is not the local player.
Switching between wifi and ethernet will always cause problems. Get
connected to whatever network connection you are going to use, then go
to the pCP web

Yes - provided that whatever had it after Squeezelite finished with it
also released it when done.

On the Pi the Wifi and Ethernet have different MAC address and therefor
a different player ID in LMS. So you can go to "select player" in
JiveLite and
Gave it a shot. No change.
Thanks

If you mean boot it on WiFi and try setting Jivelite thenthat's a
good question. I'll certainly give it a try.
Thanks

thanks for the tip "of the fix: -a :::0 to disable mmap"
I remember this as being applicable for pCP v6.
I sure i read somewhere  that -z was to be avoided if possible
I have always used Gerrelt's method and If I need to stop Squeezelite,
it's just
sudo
The title says it all. The Jivelite screensaver VU's only appear in the
screensaver settings when the player is connected over Ethernet. Reboot
the player using WiFi and they don't appear or work. Go back to Ethernet
and they are back and working.
Any thoughts. I really like the Blue VU.

I would appreciate your advice regarding the *system time* of

Hi!!
Quick question: if I comment the -V, my sound adjustment will be in
software, do you know if its possible to maintain my sound card volume
adjustment while using equal?
I get this noise in between tracks as the stream to the card is
interrupted...
Also, is the software sound

Hello all,
Sorry for my noob question but I have a strange problem.
For a friend of mine I copied my LMS 7.9 installation, running on a i7
laptop with 32-bit Ubuntu 18.04, to a new SSD and mounted it in a "new"
i5 desktop pc.
All works, but I can't get LMS 7.9 (and now upgraded to LMS 8.1) to
