The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 gen1 is class compliant and runs fine with
Linux PCs. It runs with my router, too, but I have to start squeezelize
a 2nd or a 3rd time until the sound is ok.
Anyway, the Behringer's advantageis its low price and its TOSLink
output.

I have an old TP-Link 3600 router, installed a recent OpenWRT (19.07)
and attached a Behringer UCA 202 USB audio interface.
Squeezelite is in the OpenWRT's repo.
opkg update
opkg install kmod-usb-audio
opkg install squeezelite-full
I added
option server_addr 'myLMSip'
in
/etc/config/squeezelite
squeezelite offers JACK output.
ALSA-clients can use your JACK daemon with the following ~/.asoundrc
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave.pcm "jack"
hint {
show on
description "Playback/recording through JACK"
}
}
pcm.jack {
type jack
playback_ports {
0 "system:playback_1"
1 "system:playback_2"
}
