Don't worry - that is associated with something else. The type "unk"
has been determined for the last stream/file you are trying to play.
What is it ? What is the DigitalInput Tranporter action ?
As Peter said there are two instances

Here is a shell script that takes input from the mouse scroll wheel to
change the volume of the named local player. I wrote it with a view to
hacking a Poundland mouse plus rotary encoder to put a real volume knob
on my LMS / Squeezebox computer. I would welcome any comments or
suggestions.
The root error is higher up in the file ... and there is another

The log does not seem to be from startup - follow Paul's advice.
For this log reading & parsing the conf file - there is no need for play
any stream or files - in fact better NOT to play anything as with DEBUG

another thought to aid diagnosis ...
Did you start LMS and then set debug on player.source ?
I suspect you did because I don't see logging for the conversion tables
being read in.
So ... can you set the flag to "Save logging settings for use at next
application restart" at the top of the
Normally boot issues are power supply related. pCP kernel boots in
performance mode, so if your power supply is weak, that could do it,

Sorry for my ignorance (been searching for hours). Obviously a newbie.
I have a Raspberry Pi 2 that I'm trying to load PcP. I've download
5.0.0, flashed it to a 1gb sd card. When I insert the sd card into the
pi, I get the rainbow screen, and it stops. The pwr led is solid red.

That's normal - most people don't run LMS from a console and don't see
the message.
The parsing of the conf file seems to be reading the line for "mp3 mp3"
but on the second

This was really a good shot that I believed in. BUT . Still the same
The sox command seems to do the right thing. The stuttering sound
disapears from Tidal, but radio streaming is still silent. Here from the
log:

Try editing with Notepad+ (download it) not notepad.
Then check the setting for Line Endings for the file and set it to Unix
(not Windows) and the format to be ANSI/ASCII not Utf-8 and not with a
BOM (will be clear from the menus).

version of LMS are you running ?
In the meantime can you confirm that if you revert the "[sox]" back with
the "-" as before, the MP3 error goes away.
