I agree, hence I'm confused and need to take more logs

While testing pCP7, I discovered there is a problem with the pi3B+
network adapter. It does not properly detect the carrier, and also
will not come back up if you issue an ifconfig eth0 down command. One
would think that it would not matter for AP mode, but since I'm really
configuring pCP
So it's in the Async HTTP. I see no difference in the logs whether it
is streaming direct vs streaming to a transcoder helper. I made a few
changes to the logging.

That wouldn't matter to me, but I was under the impression you could not
set both the WLAN and the eth0 to static. Since there is not eth0 cable
hooked up, I also assumed it wouldn't look for an address.
Thanks,

Setting eth0 to static IP will prevent it from trying to use DHCP.

That does mean the WLAN IP, right? The WLAN is static. The eth0 is
DHCP

Thanks Paul. Is there a script I can run before LMS loads that would put
a date in there. It can be just some arbritary date.

I'll have to think about that one. Lots break with streaming without a
valid date. Granted it doesn't affect you playing local music.

Thanks Greg, but not really. It's pretty much like that, except I do
have AP set so I can access it and/or make changes from my phone. I've
run a long DSI cable to a 7" screen and loaded Jivelite, so I can
control it that way. I made something so the screen mounts on the dash.
The server is

Gosh! That takes me back! I still have my original Empeg Rio Receiver
buried in a box in the attic. Did you ever try the replacement firmware
which re-purposed them as (rather clunky)
I tested it by changing the network timeout to zero. It still took 30
seconds for LMS to start loading. "Waiting for valid date before
starting LMS" I believe the network wait starts way before Start LMS
startup in pcp_startup.sh. Can an edit be made there (LMS StartUp)?

Thanks. Since there is no network, it should be fine.

My pCP is in the car and as such it does not have an Internet
connection. LMS waits 30 seconds before it starts, waiting for the time
to set. Is there a way I can shorten that time?
Thanks

I have a Bose Soundlink Mini II BT speaker that I use in my kitchen.
Normally it is paired with one of the RPiZeroW's that I have running
half of my Living Room speaker systems. (Closest one) I also have it
paired with my Family Room system and it will switch between connections
when I move it

That could be a solution however I only want to connect to the Pi in
order to change the local wifi connection. I do not desire to use the
phone as the

No - MPEG-4 AAC to ADTS AAC is done in Slim::Formats::Movie.pm
ADTS-AAC is then fed into transcode chains (i.e. faad) via stdin.

Just dropping in to say very very many thanks for this and I'll be
running this when I next have a moment to pause my life.

Doesn't it have to send something, or else the O/S wouldn't report the
connection as CLOSE_WAIT?
