Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: piCorePlayer 8.0.0

2021-07-27 Thread hellrider77

There is something I wanted to ask since I ce back to using pCP few
months ago.
Will rt-kernel ever come back? I always felt it sounded better (not only
with pCP but also with Daphile).
Another option would be to offer a way to load custom kernels (a
script?).

Thanks a lot.

I can confirm, Update went smooth today.
Thanks a lot.

Forgot to mention that I have tried the mirro repo also, several times.
Same result.

Tried again today, no luck, same problem, the Rpi 3B+ which is LMS
server only still same error, unable to download
filesystems-5.10.42-pcpCore-v8.tcz
Interestingly, my other pCP machine (CM3) which is player only, updated
just fine last night.
I tried stopping the LMS server, reboot, still doesn't want to update, I
will have to backup my plugins, radio presets and prefs (I have no idea
if copy-pasting them over a new install folders will work) and perform a
fresh install.

I have updated the CM3 running only squeezelite, no server, update went
perfect. The rPI running only LMS couldn't be updated.

Well, tried to download the respective file via web browser on a windows
computer in my home network, it worked. I have no idea whether it should
be different in the case of pCP running on a RPi 3b+ checked my
router and the firewall settings, all traffic is allowed. This machine I
am trying to update only runs LMS server, and squeezelite is disabled.
The file system partition size is 2000MB.

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeezelite - a small headless squeezeplay emulator for linux (alsa only)

2021-03-24 Thread hellrider77

Hello, I am using Squeezelite-x in Windows 10. The creator of SLX
pointed me to this topic to ask about my problem.
I cannot get Native DSD to work.
LMS is installed on a Synology DS214 NAS (armadaxp), latest version from
sourceforge.
My USB adapter is a Mutec MC3+ USB, ASIO drivers, capable of both, DoP
and Native.

I can get it to work with DSDPlay disabled and using -D :U32BE, but, for
example for DSD128, my ASIO driver panel reports 352,800hz sample rate
ASIO active (PCM mode). Therefore I believe it is actually DoP.
The same behavior I get with DSDplay plugin enabled (of course adjusting
relevant settings in advanced/file settings). DSDPlay under player tab
reports "This player supports native playback of DSD files. DSD-over-PCM
should be configured on the player configuration interface"

I don't know exactly how -D argument works and have no clue about what
:U32BE part does (i just googled to see what settings work for others
and copy pasted).

I find it strange that it shows as playing on 4 channels, Yamaha CD/SACD
player is only two channels and it is eqquiped with dual ESS ES9018 (one
per channel). The USB receiver board must be some steinberg/yamaha
proprietary interface.
