Doesn't Livecode have a complete XML Library? I just searched for XML in the dictionary and came up with a host of commands. I bet studying these would shed some light on what needs to be done. Also, perhaps looking at a simple XML file would benefit you. Many Apple prefs files are XML I think.

Thanks Ken and Warren. In 99% of cases, the font, size, style, etc are left at whatever LC's default is, which sounds like the system font for the platform. I like the idea of having a small test application to find the best solution for this, plus thanks Ken for the frontscript and other ideas.

All good points. I guess I'm thinking of a different situation that multiple people working on the same project. When someone reports a bug that crept into a particular version of an application, it would be useful to see what changes were made to the stack that might have introduced the bug.
