What I do is I have a "force" flag where you can specify whether or not you want to force olny the first letter to be capitalized and the rest lowercase, or else capitilize the first letter of each word and leave the rest as it is. Therefore titleCase("mcReary", false) will produce "McReary".

Of course, this would not be necessary if the folder names ended with a slash. Unfortunately, answer folder returns a path without a trailing slash, so you have to touch the file system for every item in the list. For a long list I imagine that is a lot of overhead. An alternative might be to
