Hi,
Right now, I have struts application that is running fine. Now I want to
introduce a new link in the same application. By clicking the link will
display respective page that was developed with JSF Facelets technology. I
am facing problem in integrating struts with JSF.
Could anyone let

The JSP index.jsp becomes involved in some sort of infinite loop,

Thanks for your help. I was able to get it working with Sun's RI + Facelets.
I'm confident I could get it working with MyFaces 1.2 as well - but since
they require a JSP 2.1 container (Sun's RI doesn't), I'll stick with the RI.
Here's the two ways I discovered:

Hello everybody,
The documentation about JSF plugin in Struts2 is not long enough for me
to answer my question. So, could you please give your idea/opinion here?
My question is how we compare Struts2 + JSF + a layout thing (like
sitemesh) to JSF with Facelets. Is there any advantage using the
Thanks for the response (and for Clay!), Gary- this is exactly what I
needed. I'll have a look at the use cases.

So I hit the web and found Clay and Facelets (which being native JSF
technologies I assume would knock out that last concern). I'm not
asking anyone to tell me one's better than the other; rather, I've got a
specific use case I'd like to understand

Since no one else has answered, I'll give this a try:
JSF is the base for everything you asked about. Only AFTER you are comfortable
with JSF implementation (the Sun JSF RI
or the MyFaces runtime) would I recommend you try Facelets, Shale or both.
Facelets and Shale bring extra function
Hello,
I am reading discussions about the above three frameworks with one goal in
mind, to find out whether JSF, Shale and Facelets are trully orthogonal.
That is, if I go along any path, will be able to add any other framework
lateron? How hard it is? What features of the frameworks are
dont have anything against
Facelets)

It's a new feature that Sergey Smirnov requested. It's good to hear
feedback:-)

Hi Guys:
I am evaluvating Shale for upcoming project. I wanted to use HTML rather
than JSP like Tapestry. I just want to know what you guys think about Clay
and Facelets. One thing I liked about Facelets is it doesnt need any extra
xml file to define jsf components .
