V6 Demo

Asked a hundred times : Answer : If you are a registered user of V5 ... You will be able to login to the D/L area ... You Will be able to D/L the V6 release ... You will not be able to install it without the proper 'Install Key' ... You will be able to run it in 'demo mode' ... Is this how

Realsoft3D-6.1.3-win-x86.exe

Well : Realsoft3D V6 refuses to install . Installed perfectly on my old XPsp1 . I've re-installed my sluggish XP32SP1 (service pack one) system . Slowly adding all my S/ware . (see error message) Please suggest ways to make this email less informative . studio attachment:

Not sure, but I've seen similar effects when two surfaces are exactly on top of each other, where one seems to cast shadow on the other, although they're basically the same. Looks like your model is imported.. any chance there are a few too many surfaces overlapping? Daniel On Jan 22, 2008

Thanks Daniel, I know that effect you speak of. These are clean stand alone polyhedrons ... about as simple as you can get. No booleans, no double models in the one location. I have tried scaling down the scene to .0001, the effect was still there. I removed some negative specularity I had

I am a registered V5 user but V6 is not on the downlad page! Alasdair Hmmm , OK . So you logged in , but no V6 ? There must be 2 pages then . One for those who have paid for V6 , and one for those who paid for V5 . I'm sure the V6 demo will be released as soon as the service pack is finished

Unable to register DLL/OCX: regsvr32 failed, exit code 0x3 Seems to be a common problem when certain .dll's are missing etc . I'm going to try installing some of my other apps first , then coming back to install RSV6 . Hopefully one of the other apps will install the missing .dll . garry
