Hello,
I have just setup Guacamole in the vSphere Integrated Containers environment
(docker-compatible system by VMware) and it work perfectly! Thank you for so
amazing software!
I want to see real user IPs in Guacamole and I already setup an Nginx proxy for
IP forwarding. As I understood

Hello,
I installed guacd and the guacamole-client on different servers and am stuck at
the step where I need to edit guacd.conf, because I cannot locate it. In what
directory would this file be located on a standard installation?
Thanks

MySQL is installed as part of the mariadb package on RHEL 7 in our role. The
/etc/my.cnf doesn't have anything about timezone. Do you have an example of
what it should look like? I could add it to the Ansible role to add the
timezone into /etc/my.cnf.
Thanks,
Harry

On CentOS7:
/etc/my.cnf.d/server.cnf
#
# These groups are read by MariaDB server.
# Use it for options that only the server (but not clients) should see
#
# See the examples of server my.cnf files in /usr/share/mysql/
#
# this is read by the standalone daemon and embedded servers

Yeah, in my installation.
In the meantime, I checked autoupdate, which installed an update of the
freerdp2 libraries. This caused the problem, I think.

Hi, you have to setup default time zone in your my.cnf
For me (Italy) the correct is +02:00
Remember to restart MySQL.

I'm creating an Ansible role to install Guacamole. The role runs but when
guacd is started, /var/log/messages shows the following errors:

What version Guacamole are you using? Have you updated to 1.1.0 recently?
For logging, I would look at the guacamole-server piece and try and pull
some context logs from there and post those on this thread :)

Yes there was an issue with 1.1.0 and Windows , where windows rdp session
was disconnected automatically after some time due to missing handshake
between freerdp2 and windows. This issue was resolved in the github version
which you can download and build. I had done that but an old CAPS Key
Got it. In the guacd.conf the bind host should be the server running guacd
correct? Also, once I do something similar with the guacamole.properties file,
if communication between the components is working properly, should I at least
get the guacamole login page or will I need to also go through
Hi, we have using Guacamole for about 2 months. We use a user-mapping auth.
Everything Works fine.
Today, the users cannot use RDP for conections.
Login ok, Windows Login ok. 15 secs later, disconnect.

I had same(?) issue today.
Recompile guacd and restart it and report the result.
Do you have "Ubuntu 18.5.4"?
Maybe the libraries have been updated?

It should be the address that you want guacd to bind to. This will
determine which network interface(s) can be used to connect to guacd.

Hi Dave,
I had a relatively similar issue where I had my guacadmin (LDAP) created
with the same password as the local guacadmin (MySQL). As soon as I changed
my LDAP guacadmin password and logged in with it all my users & groups were
populated. It might not be your issue but I thought its worth

In configuring the database authentication after going through all the steps I
am now getting an error in the guacamole login page. Disabling the database
connection info in the guacamole.properties file removes the error, so I know
it is a db issue.
I tried looking at the catalina.out file to
Have you copy guacamole-auth-jdbc-mysql-1.1.0.jar to extensions directory? And
mysql-connector-java-8.0.20.jar to lib directory?
In the guacamole.properties you add the auth for the database??

mysql-hostname: localhost
mysql-port: 3306
mysql-database: guacamole_db
Thanks. I am making progress and have moved on to the database authentication
extension. I want to be sure I am configuring things in the right place. The

happening on the server with tomcat or is it happening on the server
maybe thats what you're seaching for ?

Hi, how can I do that for all ldap users in a batch way ? What "Change

AB,
Thanks - I thought that might be it, but no luck.
BTW, my installation is on CentOS7.
I thought I remembered a log file that shows an entry each time it touches
LDAP, but I can't remember the name/location of the log file.
I've tried looking at catalina.out and syslog, but I'm not seeing
