I've just build 3.2 on a clean Ubuntu 18.4.
Installer (-n) complains like this:
Archiveopteryx requires PostgreSQL 9.1.0 or higher (found only 10.3).
Is this trying to tell me:
- it doesn't work on 10.x, or
- the way it does the check is a bit broken
?
OK I could check the latter - but the

Thanks - that worked. And in fact 'older 0' gave me just what I wanted
and would probably have worked anyway!

Undelete seems not to do anything. Happy to do SQL to recover the
messages if necessary.
I have a setup with no retention policies, just the old undelete time:
root@nas:~ # aox show cf undelete-time
undelete-time = 49
root@nas:~ # aox show retention

Hi James,
I'm the FreeBSD maintainer of archiveopteryx. Version 3.2.0 is in
ports, and I already patched around these issues. Is there a reason
you're not using the one in ports?
Probably because I wanted to move beyond what was in ports previously, I
had been using 3.1.8 from git

My Postgres 9.2.8 pg_stat_activity definitely uses 'pid', not 'procpid'.

In the Activity Manager, I have a sequence of warning.

They all reference 'Holiday' and different old contents in Trash.

Try this. I'm using Thunderbird as an IMAP client to 3.1.4
Create folders:
foo
foo/baz
bar
bar/baz
Now try to delete the two 'baz' folders.
So far as I can tell, even after you have emptied 'Trash' after the
first 'baz' deletion, there is some lingering db record that prevents

Not sure what to?
I have an Ubuntu system running what claims to be:

A tricky issue. How should it work when the mailbox is empty, but aox undelete
would repopulate the mailbox?
Arnt
I think 'Empty Deleted' should mean what it says.
If aox undelete can recover the data, I don't think it needs to go back
to where it was, some 'salvaged' area is fine.
I'm using Thunderbird.
If I delete a folder it gets moved to 'Deleted', but 'empty deleted'
does not remove it (or messages contained within it).
If I try to delete a folder in Deleted, and its not empty, I get a SQL
error reported from Postgres through to Thunderbird.

If anyone can recommend a better IMAP client (primarily for Windows)
with some scripting to categorise and move messages, I'll be happy to
try it.

I seem to have warning-as-error set for jam, which I just
installed.
That's set in our Jamfiles somewhere.
That's concerning - why doesn't 3.1.3 build for me then? Do you want
the error list?
James
whether the behaviour is the same on my real email server, but
this is definitely odd.
I take it others have got it running on 9.0.x?
James
If anyone just replied - I lost it. Playing around with too many
postgres versions on this box. :-(
