Hi,
When creating the template check that the hostname in /etc/hostname has been
removed (file is blank)
Also check /etc/sysconfig/network for a hostname

Cold migration of VM /Volume form local to nfs or vice versa is not supported
in Cloudstack. If you are able to do this it’s a bug.
Thanks

Hi,
I'm try to do template from Centos 6.5.
Step:
1. Create a VM.
2. Install VM using ISO.
3. Reboot VM after installation finish.
4. Login VM. Can ping other VM in ACS host.
5. Shutdown VM.
6. Create template A1 from ROOT disk of VM. Waiting until template available.
7. Create another VM using
Hi Folks,
This question relates to cloudstack 4.5.2. I know this is a bit behind now
but its still quite stable for us :-)
The problem I have is that lets say I do the following:
1. Launch a vm using a service offering which does not have shared storage,
and does not offer ha (local only).
2. I
Pascal,
Have you tried viewing the console of that VM(s) with any third party VNC
client?
- When connected to the console from cloudstack, can you check whether the
connection is established on the VNC port of that VM.
@Console Proxy VM => netstat –tunap | grep
(or) @Host => esxcli network ip
Hi,
What template are you using to start your first VM? - the default vmware
template?
If you look in vcenter , what does the console show you ?

hi,
we have a CS4.8 deployment with VMWare 5.5.
When trying to launch the first VM, the VS is created. VS starts up, but in
CS, it stuck with "starting" state.
i can't find any usefull information in the logs.
any hint?
Hi,
What OS are you using?
When your create the template from the ISO are you clearing the hostname and
udev rules before make a template from the VM
also clear the /etc/hosts file so there is only localhost addresses .
You can have a look at the following link
http://docs.cloudstack.apache.o
In Cloudstack, i can see, that the Agent Status is "UP". When i try to
telnet on POrt 443, i'm getting a timeout.
Should'nt Port 443 be open on the Console PRoxy VM?
