What one cannot do in Saxon-HE is register integrated extension
functions using a configuration file, as one can in -PE or -EE. This
is why I need to do configuration in Java.

It would be nice to know how to do this even if I wind up using the
Avalon approach with the present task.

It can be done with a 64-bit JVM. Tomcat won't know and neither will Cocoon.

mystery wrapped in an enigma. OK, theoretically there's less need to
build Cocoon 2.2+; in practice there's a very great need to apply a
number of patches that should have gone into a 2.2.1 long ago, and
then debug further.

Hi there,
Does anyone know if it's possible to access flowscript's 'bizData' or local
variables from the sitemap i.e.
flowscript:
cocoon.sendPageAndWait(uri,bean);
sitemap:
map:transform src={flow:/view/stylesheet}/

When I transfered my site from a windows machine to 2 linux servers I've
noticed that jxtemplate seems to behave strangely - it only shows the first
item in each forEach loop, but sometimes it works as expected i.e.
jx:forEach var=entry items=${wb.skinProperties}
property
Found the answer in the archives (yes I did look through the archives before
I posted this message :)). If you download the latest version of
org.apache.cocoon.generation.JXTemplateGenerator from the CVS, it seems to
solve the problem. (BTW I'm using ver 2.1.3)

Came across a similar problem a while back. The solution was to add
parameters to the database url, setting the character encoding to the one
that java uses.
in WEB-INF/cocoon.xconf:
datasources
jdbc name=databaseName logger=core.datasources.databaseName
pool-controller min=5 max=10/
Very useful having the videos available, I was at the GT but missed
Stefano's talk. One thing though, I'm not sure if it's just my computer or
not but the video track stops after 13 seconds while the audio track keeps
going.
