I've been using a Belkin 2-port for years now without any problems, fist
got a D-Link but it was crappy (the video signal was bad).The only

The Belkin 2-port (with built-in cables), 4-port, and 8-port KVM switches
work really well. Tested with Windows 98/XP, FreeBSD
Keep in mind that some computers/OSs freak out when PS2 ports go away
and come back. I'd recommend getting usb keyboards and mice, or
ps2-usb adapters. Your computer will see them as usb devices, and those
are designed to go away and come back.

Tried all the suggestions, it doesnt produce a log file, moving
xorg.conf out of the way does nothing. it hangs indefinitely(I waited up
to 5 mins).
