The preferred way would be to create a Simfactory entry. The "unset MPI"
command would also go there.
If you are unfamiliar with Simfactory, then you would open an issue ticket
on the ET web site and attach the option list.

I've also met some students who were interested in learning how to use
the Einstein Toolkit but were a bit shy to write to the entire list. So
partnering "newbies" with a tutor or arrange for a monthly "how-to"
