If you don't use link reports... try using the incremental compilation. It
will not recompile certain files that have not changed.

HTML 5 is a poor alternative.
Anyway, if we must deliver HTML 5, why choose Flex ?
It's better to choose true HTML 5 / js frameworks.
HTML 5 with Flex will have too much limitations.
Perhaps it would be better to have Java/C#/Objectice C outputs...
