My comment on this benefit issue is the following:
Reading and writing ODF is the way I hope the world of Office Suite
default formats go to. Until then, a office suite needs to be able to
read/write the other file formats used my the market-place. Right now
MS formats dominate the market.

Hello All,
Why isn't ODF added as an extension of HTML5?
This would define ODF as the defacto Web Standard for Files!
An ideas who could try to pursue such an agreement?
Cheers!

Hello,
Hoping this is the right forum, I wanted to ask if anyone could help me
get anti-aliasing to work with Graphite fonts (Linux Biolinum G and
Linux Libertine G) on LibreOffice. Without anti-aliasing it looks pretty
terrible on-screen, but still very nice when exported or printed. The
NoOp has carried out some interesting experiments by using an ODF Validator
(below at the end).
This brings to mind a few observations. They are intriguing for me because
they illustrate
how tricky it is to assess conformance and also the pitfalls that lurk in
assuming conformance
by default.
Hi Dennis
It's interesting that you find out about this now...
When I did some tests back in May 2011 and I questioned if TDF shouldn't
worry about this and have it's own tool, nobody found it important...
