Hi,
I'm trying to do something apparently quite simple.
I'd like to disable the save as button in toolbar and menu and leave the
save action enabled.
In other words, I'd like the user to just be able to save and not save as.
How can I do this?
I tried setting a custom macro so it's associated
Thanks Tom,
You are very encouraging.

Has Base changed much since the 3.5.x releases? If so is there a list of

Hi :)
Errr, that seems like a fairly crazy thing to do. Surely the opposite would be
better? Normal save overwrites the previous version of the document and makes
it difficult to create back-ups. Plus it restricts what formats can be used.
If someone opens a document in some stupid format
Not really, Tom. It may sound crazy to some but it doesn't to me.
It all depends on what you need to achieve.
In my case, we're generating odt docs in a webdav repository and serving them
to LO clients.
We want the clients to always save to the same location, same file name. It

Hi :)
I even bought a couple from the Lulu bookstore. Mostly it was to support TDF
as a hefty chunk of the profit goes to the Docs Team (well, the fund is managed
by Friends of OpenDocument on behalf of the docs team).
I was quite chuffed with the glossy professional look. Someone even
Hi :)
I think it's just to block morons from doing stupid things without really
knowing what they are doing. If someone knows how to circumvent stuff like
this then they probably understand the differences between different formats
and can navigate folders without too much trouble.

Hi :)
Does anyone remember how to fix the list of recent documents to be longer than
10? There was 1 solved thread about this and 1 unsolved. Can anyone remember
when the solved list happened? Perhaps a link to the Nabble thread?
Regards from
Tom :)
Ah, well, that explains why the manual(s) make no sense ;-)

Hi :)
Ok, the trouble i am having now is trying to get text to stay inside a box that
has it's corners curved off.
They are a bit like an extreme version of the rounded smoothness of Xp windows
compared to Win98's ones. The curves take several lines so at the moment i

access to more than 10 documents, you might want to have a look at
Hi :)
To copy your files from the external drive you 'just' need to open the folder
that shows all the files and also open the folder that shows your My
Documents folder and then just drag from the 1st one to the 2nd.
When i say 'just' it's because it can be difficult to just open a

It might depend upon how people on the clients use Save As. If
they use Control+Shift+S, then I don't know. If they are like me: they
click the Save As button in the Standard Tool bar, there are a couple
of ways.
(1) Hide the Save As button (Right click in the Standard toolbar. Then
