was posting to a group so I doubt that she will see the replies. I'm
happy to forward the replies and explain.

Hello LibreOffice
users
,
I want to get conditional text with libreoffice: user is selecting
checkboxes, enters some text in the form, and then a document is formed.
One approach to this is to have conditional text in forms. I posted
minimal working example at OO.org forums:
Ubuntu 12.04 LO 3.5.7.2
When I go to the built in basic ide and try to print the code for a
macro all I get is an almost blank page. What is see is an outline of a
box printed at the margins with the full name of the macro at the top
but the rest of the page is blank with no code printed.
As a follow-up to our earlier discussion of one versus two spaces
following a full point/full stop/period, I offer the following passage
from /About Face: Reviving the Rules of Typography/ by David Jury

Good Afternoon,
We are wanting to roll Libreoffice to many of our terminals across the business
so they can use Spreadsheet, Document Writer and presentation software. Is
there any way I can do this using a silent installer over the network?
Thanks

I thought this was a very interesting analysis. I don't know of any

Am I reading this right? Is Jury suggesting that space after periods
actually be *less* than a standard word space? If so, that is diametrically
opposed to the typewriter standard of adding two spaces after sentence
ending punctuation.

Hi :)
Lqtm, these things happen. Glad your system is working properly now! :)
Mageia is likely to be excellent. Just a couple of years ago it was new to the
scene but in that very short time it has risen to the top-ten, in DistroWatch
'rankings' it's firmly settled in 4th place. Mandriva
Is it possible that the form is in edit mode? As in, you are editing the

I ran a test with 4.1.1.1 on Fedora
The previous seemed to show the Object Catalog rather than the macro itself.
The final printed thing is exactly as you state.

Virgil, I'll have to disagree with your last sentence. It's quite
obvious to me when there are two spaces after a sentence-ending period
rather than just one, even with proportional fonts (allowing for the
possibility that there's a font somewhere with a wider space than the

Anne,
Don't misunderstand me. I much prefer a single space after sentence
ending punctuation for reasons I have written many times before. I was
just surprised that Jury advocated going further and using an even
narrower space. I consider that a little over the top, even for an

Well, I guess I'm an a-typical reader - although quite voracious -

If the difference is between one space and two spaces, I agree that is
very noticeable.
But, what Jury is
