Nicely said :) I asked the postmaster about it and the problem seems to have
stopped since then. At least, for me it's stopped. Is anyone else still
getting extra duplicates a day or few after the original posts?

How many package files need to be run to install LO on a Linux box?
There are 52 .deb files to run/install in the 4.1.2 64-bit Debian

That is comparing apples and oranges.
Installing a whole DE is more like setting up an OS and not at all just
installing a simple program. Windows doesn't allow people to use a different
DE, which is what a lot of the fuss is about wrt Win8.

The first formula given at that web page worked for me once I'd
tinkered with the details to fit my actual case. And I needed to
replace commas by semicolons. (The formula as given will not find
instances of zero in the list.)
Note that it is an array formula, so you need to complete it

Going with the line-by-line approach but with a fast twist.
Each line has identical calculations with the result feeding into the next line
and then having the same calculation repeated doesn't it? So it's something
like
C1 = A1 * B1
A2 = C1
B2 = B1
C2 = A2 * B2
A3 = C2
B3 = B1

I suspect that a lot of your concerns and more besides are shared by the LO

My guess is that is part of the reason we don't already have 1-click
