I don't remember, but since I have had a problem with upgrading to the last lts version, I have been unable to do any upgrades using Ubuntu, so if I have upgraded since last July, it was not thru Ubuntu But I use this sheet almost every day (business accounting). First ever with this problem.

It appears that although Writer is closed, Windows does not remove the lock from the file. I believe that if you and stop LibreOffice or restart you machine, you will then have read access. This has worked for me previously. It has not happened to me under Linux. Confirmation of this would
