Hi,
I am testing LibreOffice to replace MS Office 2003. So I created 4 xlsx
files with LibreOffice Calc 4.1.4.2 and while files are open formula syntax
is working (Calc A1), and it is looking like this:
=SUM(B22:B22*'file:///C:/temp/Test file 2.xlsx'#$Sheet1.B22)
But as soon as I save it and
I am using LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 in Ubuntu 12.04. Ever since I changed from
OpenOffice I have noticed that Calc will not allow me to copy a selection
of cells in one row to several other rows. It only allows me to do one cell
to a range in a column.
Does anybody have this problem? Is it a bug that

It was not a matter of preferences. It was because calc could not open a
.XLS file. On further investigation it was found that it is not an XLS
file hence the problem

Thanks Jay and Brad. I'll raise a bug report
Ironically that site has language along the lines of you will need MS
Excel to open these files. I was going to write to correct them on
this. Best keep my mouth shut now :(

Hi Michael, looks like this one didn't make it to the list. And it is
very interesting. In light of all the XML reports I think the first step
is to ask the site why XML docs are masquerading as XLS. It would be
good to know the version of MSO you are using so I can quote this to them.

Hi,
I would like to ask you how to solve a problem with Calc. Ill try to
explain you how to reproduce it.
Just open any web page in your browser and find there an e-mail contact
which is in html link form. I.e. users+subscr...@global.libreoffice.org
I am new to LibreOffice. I have a graph of about 600 data points. There are
too many of these on the X axis and so I want to only have labels every 30th
point or so. But I cannot change the interval because when I access the X
axis - scale, the page is grayed out and won't let me change anything.
I'm trying to set up a sheet with multiple listboxes nearly alike,
each taking its data from a cell range in another sheet in the same
file ('other sheet'.b218:b238). If I copy one and paste it, the
pasted copy does not work -- it does not pull any data (drop-down does
