This has been a most enlightening discussion.
I am a big fan of open source software. That said, this discussion has shined a

Hi,
We just accountered a problem where colored tables in a .doc file
aren't shown correctly in LO, though they are shown correctly in ms
word.
I filed a bug, but it would be nice if some of you could confirm the existence.

Hi :)
I just had a quick go with this. It seems as though having a jpg image as
the Watermark was the problem. Even when i did;

The jpg still seemed to remove the colours of the table headings. I used

You guys are over-complicating it. Just post a feature request via

Hi :)
If the automated system can cope with a png or a modified template
then it's hopefully fairly easy to fix. Does it get the jpg from some
fairly obvious folder?
Anyway! Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

replicate the problem at all.
I was hoping that it might turn out to be something simple such as

Hi Regina:
Thanks so much for responding. Bug 72452 is very definitely what I am
experiencing, but in reading through the thread I thought it said that the
fix was put into version 4.2 which I'm using.
However, I will hop out of here right now and see if there is a newer build

Hi Regina:
I forgot to mention that I had originally written a large portion of the
document in MS Word and imported it into Writer.
Given some of the comments in the Bug thread for Bug 72452, I thought that
might be important.
