But at least we know its not the profile now.

Right, I've now downloaded it with the torrent files to see if I had a
corrupt downloaded file and then installed it more or less the same as
you Don. And it still doesn’t open up and neither do I have any menu
options or icons. That gives a total of 3 downloads and installs, and
it still fails :(
how to get it running please?
Thanks
Sharon.

I've just installed LibreOffice 3.5.1 and autospellcheck is working
well, but I have no documents appearing in the 'Recent documents' box.
Does anyone know how to get it working please?
I tried installing the 'HistoryMaster' extension to see if that would
improve things, but all it did was to slow
ectly. I have a list of recent files.
Thanks Don, thats good to know, I'll download it then and install it.

I see that LO 3.5.1 is out now. Can anyone confirm please if these
showstoppers have been fixed?
[a] autospellcheck not working, and
[b] lack of recent history files.
I am reluctant to upgrade until I know that these showstoppers have been fixed.
Thank you

I have downgraded my LO program from 3.5.0 to 3.4.5, as the lack of
autospellcheck and recent documents in 3.5.0 were real show stoppers, and not
being able to find any workarounds.
I feel that 3.5.0 was released either with inadequate testing, or before it
was ready for release. No matter, it
