Folks,
One of my systems has developed a problem with writer and I am at a loss
as how to fix it.
I get the following message when I try to open writer:
Component cannot be loaded, possibly broken or incomplete installation.

Have you tried renaming the User Profile yet?

When anything weird suddenly starts happening or when a weird fault
gradually creeps in then renaming the User Profile is often the fastest way
to fix it. It gets things back to factory defaults
I have recently upgraded a workstation from fedora fc16 to fc17, but the
problem remains unchanged.
