I was trying to connect my kannel 1.1.6 to an ericsson t68the kannel.log states that "no answer from modem" how can i set the modem up? hope you guys can help me out I totally dont know how to set it up already.

I've seen this problem happening with Logica and some guys told me it was
solved with a new version of Telepath. I also heard it could be related to
SMSC's smpp inactivity timeout, not sure.

The coded characters in the URL you sent do not look like arabic
characters - they looks like mostly english with a few characters that I
do not recognize. I suggest you read up your unicode tables again.

I tried the following url to send arabic characters.

the characters were sent to a nokia 3310. the hex
representation of these chars was obtained from the
unicode ch
it seems that Kannel couldnot connect to the modem. try to open the
modem using minicom, and check speed 19200 does actually work with the
modem, and quit minicom w/o a reset and try again. and do increase the
debug level of the logs.
