Message Encoding problem

Hi, I had kannel latest development release and used it as sms smpp gateway to my smsc. When I sent messages using sendsms, I received messages on mobile phone incorrectly: only first character of message was correct, others no. As I think it's related to encoding. Please reply if anybody has
