Now, it would seem that Kannel is not receiving all DLR messages passed back by

it, and the libraries are in the standard places. I use FreeBSD
5.4-PRERELEASE, with Kannel 1.4.0, and Mbuni

Your best bet for sending MMS is to try Mbuni, an
Open Source MMS Gateway, which uses Kannel. See
