I have a Kannel server up and working for a customer but they are asking
for outgoing SMS messages to have the text prefixed with a customised
Sender ID - branded to their company name - rather than the originating
number.
Is there a way to achieve in Kannel config or programmatically ?
Just set it in sender field. But make sure your telco allow you to do this.

I have some question regarding GSM modems
1. Max How many modems can configure parallel to work simultaneously
with kannel ?
2. Could I use multi-port usb modem with kannel. (like 32-port or
64-port usb sim server). If yes, then how configure it.

Kannel does GSM encoding internally. It doesn’t use iconv for that.

serial/usb/ethernet or a mix) and the server/database(s) can handle
the loads/connections.
