Re: Caps and Lowercase-Auto-complete Problem

2017-02-03 Thread Alan Pearce
If you don't want to change your settings you can delete the highlighted area
which is offered and continue typing your new text. I think you can do this
with the right arrow key or maybe the delete key, I can't check as I am not
able to get acess into AOO at the moment.

Subject: Caps and Lowercase-Auto-complete Problem

I am trying to enter a case-specific text string into a Calc cell. The
string has both uppercase and lowercase and numerical characters. It
appears that Calc is remembering similar/previously entered strings and
forces those to appear within the cell, i.e., changing a lowercase to an
uppercase appearing as the first character, or changing a lowercase to
an uppercase where the character is not the first nor the last character
within the string. The format for the cell is "Text". Clearing cell's
all content and tried again; no go. Using the check mark with the
desired string display in the bar does not help me.

How can I disable the auto-complete feature for this effort?

What am I doing incorrectly ?

VinceB.

Thank you!  Translator into Russian is bad, I did not understand much, but
something could understand.  I'll try.

Try unchecking /Tools /Cell Content /Autoinput

Thank you Rory. Your suggestion worked and solved my problem.

I discovered that by using your suggestion, it is a control over the
entire sheet. I thought I could apply it to only the column where I am
entering case-sensitive text strings; so, I must reapply the /Autoinput
tool feature afterward.

TNX again.

collors

2017-02-03 Thread De Bloois

L.S.

Something is troubeling me, it becomes verry irritating.

When I am making tekst documensts, I use different collors, A few years
ago I startend to use the standard collors in Openoffice. However an
update gave suddenly different standard collars.

On a old computer I could get the, yellow bleu and red numbers from the
old collars and entered them in the collarsceme. So far no problem every
thing went fine. However, every few weeks, somthing happens, a update I
persume en than every thing is back in the new standard collors, which
ik can not Use and al changes in the standard collars, or the new
collars I ad to is are dissapeared.

It is verry verry irritating. Why are the new collars I add, not save
for an update, as other things and settings?

greetings

Ist das Dokument von Dir selber erstellt oder von anderen? In letzterem
Fall vermute ich, dass der Autor Strukturelemente wie eine Tabelle oder
Textfelder o. ä. verwendet. Um einen konkreten Rat zu geben, müssten wir
genauer wissen, was.

Grundsätzlich kann man den Textcursor aber immer auch an eine bestimmte
Stelle bewegen, indem man einfach mit der Maus auf die gewünschte
Stelle klickt.
