Marion, Assuming that you had your hard drive replaced: 1) I'd retrieve them from my Time Machine backup (I use an inexpensive external 1 Terabyte hard drive) 2) I'd ask the person who replaced it to try and retrieve the files from the old hard drive. 3) Kiss them goodbye and start

I have had a problem with my imac and had to take it in to be repaired (nothing major). Is there anyway I can retrieve documents prior to this and if so how do I do it? Thank you. Marion
