If there a simple way to count the number of different values in a range?
If I have a column with a thousand rows and I have different values in
the rows (some of which are repeated)...
Bacon
Eggs
Toast
Marmalade
Toast
Toast
Bacon
The answer I want here is 4. (the total of different entries)

If I understand your question, you can use the =count() formula. You
can also right click on sum at the bottom of your screen and select
count. This will give you a count of the total values that you
highlight. This works with numbers in a row, but not with words.

Hi everyone
I have a problem with conditional formatting in Calc.
I want to apply a style to a cell if the value in another cell meets a certain
criteria. For example, I want the style in cell A1 to change if A2 is greater
than 100.
As far as I can see, it is only possible to apply the
Although the solution in another thread works fine, wouldn't it be
better if the Paste All box was unchecked when the dialogue box opens?
Really, the Paste All option doesn't belong in the Paste Special
selection because if you wanted to paste everything, you would use the
normal Paste function.

This is just a thought for any of the people involved in the documentation

Would it be possible to add a date next to the download links for the
handbooks indicating the next planned update?
It occurred to me that it would be quite annoying if someone printed out one

Hi All
I'm looking for an alternative to the PowerPoint Pack Go feature. It's a
feature that I find really useful as I can send a self-contained file to
customers without them having to install anything on their computer. I know
that it's possible to create a pdf file, but this doesn't work
here, but I think Brittany is referring to the same
feature that I was asking about - the pack and go feature in PowerPoint.
That feature produces a self-contained slide show, whereas your suggestion
creates a presentation file which may or may not be automated.
