This behaviour sounds like a bug. However do you have a local DNS cache ? Don't know. If you're talking about BIND I don't have such things. Where is localhost resolved to ? cat /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost Don't know what else to put here. Have you checked with
