Howdy all,
I've again been hit by packaging conflicts with the release of oVirt 4.2.3 and
CentOS 7.5.
The error I'm getting when running yum upgrade then accepting the list of
packages to upgrade is:
Transaction check error:

Hi Ovirt Team,
how to attach an export domain to a new datacenter with an export domain not
very well unattached from an obsolete datacenter ?
My old platform with ovirt 4.1 was deleted ans reinstalled with ovirt 4.2.3.
It's ok but i have a problem with an export domain which has not been
I've had the exact same error. My solution was to disable obsoletes logic
in yum. Obsoletes =0 in yum.conf.
I haven't investigated much but it's caused by udisks2 obsoleting
storaged.

Yeah, that capability of exporting running VMs
2 clues:
-the original size of the disk was 750G and was extended a month ago to
1100G. The System rebooted fine several times, and took the new size with
no problems.
-I run fdisk from a centos 7 rescue cd and '/dev/vda' reported 750G. then,
I took a snapshot of the disk to play with recovery
Hello,
I'm upgrading my cluster from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3, HE upgrade went well, but

I removed the auto-snapshot and still no lucky. no bootable disk found. =(

Sorry this is the existing discussion, duplicated because of the mail list

You should be able to do this without having to shut vm down

I am also experiencing random issues with this mailing list, even before
the upgrade. Some replies I never receive them ( I know this because a
friend of mine relays the emails I dont get...). I tried to unsubscribe and
subscribe but I still face this issue.

Two issues I’ve seen with this upgrade:
1. This address I’m sending from was subscribed to ovirt user mailing list in
the past, I un-subscribed it a while ago and now I’m getting mail at it again.
My other address @gmail.com was subscribed all along and is now NOT getting any
email from the
Just trying to make sure there isnt an easier way to do what I'm doing.
I dont have an HA environment in my homelab. I have 3 VM's and I wanted to
copy them to my backup r710 which runs oVirt 4.2. I basically shut down my VM,
exported it to an export domain on my primary r710. Then detached
Hello!
Let's assume that we have 2 clusters in a shared Datacenter running version
4.1.
Is it possible to have one cluster running v4.2 and another one running
v4.1 in the same Datacenter (what version will it be, by the way ?) during
transitioning to oVirt 4.2 ?
Thank you.
I see, thanks. Maybe I could help add that scenario to the docs for you?

I am trying to upgrade my ovirt cluster and came across a repo 404.
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/storage/x86_64/gluster-3.8/repodata/repomd.xml:
[Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found
Trying other mirror.
Any ideas how to fix it?
TIA!

Hi All,
I'm trying to add a second Host to my controller but it fails for some
reason, from the events log in the webUI I got the following message :

The engine logs are showing the following messages :

Hi,
I can update the vCPU and memory quota by editing a Quota object of a
datacenter through webadmin portal, but it seems that I cannot update
through REST API...
For example, I have a quota object with a global quota_cluster_limit object:

Getting weirder.
I reinstalled a third node from scratch with no bonding and my VM works
fine.
To answer an earlier question, we're not configuring any bonding on the
data center switches so I've stuck to bonding modes like round robin,
active/stand-by, and XOR. I've mostly been using XOR.
Me too, had been unsubscribed for 6+ months and have attempted to unsubscribe
3 times since, each time I'm told that the "Confirmation token did not match"
You guys clearly have a problem with this list.

Hi all
I have some trouble with guest agent for OpenSUSE 42.3 Leap, short version, it

Still same problem.

Dear All,
There appears to be an issue with the host install on these, there's quite a
lot of errors being kicked out into the logs as they cycle through attempting
to activate, failing, and then failing to go into maintenance. I can't remove
the hosts from the engine to attempt to reinstall
