The hosted engine is a regular Virtual machine.
You need to have a separate FQDN and IP, different from those assgined
to the hypervisors.
In your example, you need to assign a fqdn/IP from the vlan 4000 (or
wherever the mgmt vlan is), and use it whenever queried about the

Hi Fran,
thanks for helping me.
I have defined a separate fqdn and ip address for the engine - sorry for

Hi Samuel, how are you?
I'm trying with OpenUDS (https://github.com/dkmstr/openuds). It's suffer from
lack of documentation but at this time appears to be very good.
Best regards,

Hi Fran,
thanks for your detailled elaboration.
I will go the cli installer way if that is what is supported.
Thank you very much!

It's difficult to answer as the engine normally "freezes" or is taken down
during events... I will try to get them next time

Why the vms don't go in "Pause" state but the cluster prefer
Good to hear you have solved the problem.
I will also suggest you to try Vinchin Backup & Recovery for oVirt backup. It
is perfectly compatible with oVirt.
