Hello, Ovirt folks,
What is the most popular VDI management framework for Ovirt? After googling, I
find adfinis/virtesk however which is not active now.
I would be much apppreciated if anyone can point out the best open source VDI
solutions with Ovirt?
best regards,

Is anyone using Ovirt for a Windows 10 VDI deployment? If so are you using a
connection broker? If you are what are you using?
Thanks for your time

Hi!,
What's the usual way to implement VDI with oVirt?, is it usuallly
paired with a broker like UDS Enterprise / OpenUDS?, does it have
anything embedded that can solve the VM assignment for a group of
users?.

Hi,
I gt hold of a 10zig V1200-P for testing VDI under ovirt/RHEV, as I'd read that
they support SPICE. However, I haven't found how to connect it successfully to
a VM as yet. Has anyone had any experience with these using ovirt/RHEV? I
haven't been able to find any manuals or support info on

Hi everybody,
thank you for taking the time to share your experiences.
It seems we have now some stuff to digest and to do our tests. I think
I'll report back when things will settle down.

On that same note... I would love to deploy several Thin clients around
my house using a single Centos Server for my kids to use.
Is this still not possible?
Do I still have to assign each of my kids a vm?

On the first deployment no, it is basically for frontend and backend
office activity.
But we would probably also asked to try it for multimedia activities

You can also use ansible to provision your 802.1x network gear along with
the client machines, this way everything is provisioned the same way every
time.

Hi everyone,
I've been asked to deploy a VDI solution based on our oVirt infrastructure.
What we have in production is a 3.6 manager (standalone, not HE) with
a 3.5 cluster (CentOS 6) and a 3.6 cluster (CentOS 7), iSCSI storage,
fully redundant networking.
What is not clear to me is the client
Hi and thanks for the reply.

able to work on the template (patch, install addtional software, etc) and
have those changes flow through to the existing VMs based on these
templates. In addition, when the VMs are refreshed

We've had the same experience as you with vm pools and have moved away from vm
pools to non-pool vms and manual assignment for Windows vms. We have an open

Hello,
I have a question about VDI and the use of a VM pool. Are the VMs that
are part of the pool linked clones or full clones of the pool's template VM?
Let's say my template VM has a HDD of 64GB, fully allocated. I create a
VM pool that uses that template and the pool consists of 5 VMs.
