Hi,
I would like to make a four-node gluster based cluster, but I don't have
enought hdd. I just wondering, on the hosts (not on the portal) I won't use
raid for the main system (os).
I have disks only for bricks. I will give one disk for the os, and one disk for
gluster brick per server.
Hi Tibor,
In this if your host OS disk will crash your brick data also
inaccessible..better to have the RAID1 for OS...
Thanks,
Punit

Hi Tibor,
It all depends on if you can risk the chance of downtime.
Buying a couple larger HDD's is probably cheaper than spending a couple
of hours of your time on it when things break. You could have one node
down permanently, replace it completly and heal the volume
Hello,
I have an oVirt environment backed by a two-node Gluster-cluster.
Yesterday I decided to upgrade to from GlusterFS 3.5.1 to 3.5.2, but
that caused the gluster daemon to stop and now I have several lines like
this in my log for the volume that hosts the VM images, called vmimage:

Is there a way to force vdsm to see gluster? Or a way to manually run the
search so I can see why it fails?

I am running ovirt 3.4 and have gluster installed:
[root@virt01a]# yum list installed |grep gluster
glusterfs.x86_64 3.5.0-2.el6 @ovirt-glusterfs-epel

glusterfs-cli.x86_64 3.5.0-2.el6 @ovirt-glusterfs-epel
You're missing vdsm-gluster
yum install vdsm-gluster

Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone's had any luck with running VMs on top of a gluster VM?
I have a bug open here,
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1058300 about VMs going
into a paused state and not being able to resume.
It's gone a little quiet, so I was wondering has anyone else had

get dd with ~ 60 MB/s
this is still ~ x2 lower than from host, but x3
better than it was before :)
cool :)
BTW could not found GUI got Optimize for virt.
store option in oVirt 3.5
Thanks Sahina for the inputs here.
