Hi Artem,
make sure the IDs are different, change them manually if you must!
That is all you need to do to get the agent up I think. The symlink
issue is probably related to another change we did (it happens when a
new hosted engine node is deployed by the engine) and a simple broker
restart

Hello!
What is the best way to remove options like eject virtual machine
disks/controllers or nics from "Safely Remove Hardware" in Windows OS ?
Currently running oVirt 4.1.8.
Thanks.

Hi,
I’m currently running node on HP ProLiant with 2 x Xeon with 4 core each.
Because of hyperthreading each physical core is being seen as 2.
How KVM/oVirt reserves cores if for example I allocate 4 CPU cores for VM ?
Does it allocates 4 real CPU cores, or 2 cores with 2 threads each ?
Each VM

Hello,
We have an oVirt 4.1 cluster of 3 ovirt-nodes that currently on the
management network don't have VLAN tagging enabled, we would like to enable
VLAN tagging and so would be grateful of anyone had an information or
experience doing this.
The management engine is running on a
Thanks for the feedback!
To my eyes the problem looks like not already covered by bug #1401409,
please open a new bug.
Until this new bug is fixed, you can disable the usage of LLDP for each
affected interfaces on the affected host by:
/usr/sbin/lldptool set-lldp -i $iface adminStatus=disabled
Okay, when I do a snapshot, and then mount the snapshot to a
BackupApplianceVM, all works using NFS4 as my Storage Domain for the VM
being backed up. If I change that disk storage on the VM to be backed up to
my iSCSI storage, my script breaks and I see these errors in the oVirt
Engine logs:

Hi Carl,
Below are the steps to configure back end network which is glusternw.
1) create a new network called 'glusternw'
2) Now go to clusters tab and select Logical networks tab.
3) You should see the newly created network there.
4) select the network and click on 'Manage Networks'
5) In
Anyone ?
I don't believe that this is a normal behavior when users can eject scsi
controller or nic from virtual machine and make it unusable.
The device capabilities is 6 by default in windows registry and to disable
device ejects we need to set it to the value of 2.
But this value reverts back
As we continue to develop oVirt 4.2 and future releases, the Development
and Integration teams at Red Hat would value
insights on how you are deploying the oVirt environment.
If you haven't already done, please help us to hit the mark by completing
this short survey.
Survey will close on February

Hi again!
Well, I discovered something new importing using the upload_disk.py

way to remove this files? What will happen if I delete all files from

Thanks, if needed I will ask directly

Yes, the service is required to provide LLDP information and is a
dependency of the vdsm-network package.
Is this uncomfortable for you?

Hi, I'd check what the browser is doing using its development console.
For example, the browser may not trust some certificate and fail to
establish connections - then you may need to install the CA certificate
into your browser. It's available for download from your oVirt
installation's welcome

I did everything as user postgres, otherwise it doesn’t work
We ship postgres 9.5 through the Software Collection. Its missing from your
path by default, so in order to run psql you need to:
su - postgres
scl enable rh-postgresql95 -- psql engine engine
