Rick, I've had that happen a couple times lately myself. The only way I could get them to boot was shutdown vms, put host in maintenance, and reboot server. Then they worked fine.. Edit your /etc/hosts file and add an entry for the hostname of your engine: 192.168.0.50 ovirt.domain.local Also, edit /etc/selinux/config and set selinux=permissive - you'll need to reboot for the selinux config. to take effect. Getting this error when I try to configure ldap authentication for Ovirt with FreeIPA server: Error: exception message: freeipa.wilk.local. Failure while testing domain wilk.local. Details: Kerberos error. Please check log for further details. Engine-manage-domains.log gives no further details. When I run "engine-manage-domains -action=add -domain='wilk.local' -user='admin' -provider=IPA -interactive" it is connecting and asking for the password but then giving the error. Any input would be appreciated. ___ Users mailing list Users@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Re: [Users] [Spice-devel] Server 2k8
Sounds like I'm missing something. We're looking at using Windows Server 2k8 as a workstation OS as the licensing seems to be more reasonable for vdi. That's why I'm concerned about video and mouse drivers - not getting either of those when I install spice guest tools like I do with Win7 or XP. Please advise. I'm able to set up Active Directory authentication if my ovirt engine is set to use dns that is hosted on the same system as Active Directory. However, if I use static host entries in my engine "hosts" file instead of using dns I'm getting the error "ldap server for domain not found" when I issue the command: "engine-manage-domains -action=add -domain=’ovirt.local' -user='admin' -provider=ActiveDirectory -interactive" from the engine. I've googled to death how to configure static entries on my engine system for the ldap server and it seems that I need to configure my nsswitch and ldap.conf files but still no luck... Any ideas?? ___ Users mailing list Users@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/users
