[ovirt-users] Regarding oVirt IP Address Change

Hello oVIrt Community,

Presently, I've a healthy & running oVirt Hosting that includes single DC,
Cluster, SPM & Storage. The LAN IP Address range is 10.151.65.0/24.

As we're in the process of migrating office premises, I'm worried about the
existing oVirt IP Address Schema as the new range is 10.101.160/0/20.

In this scenario, I'd like to know how the migration happens successfully
without disturbing the oVirt Hosting & all hosted VMs.

[ovirt-users] Regarding oVirt VM Hosting

Dear Users,

I've initiated this mail communication for the very first time. Recently,
I've started using *oVirt-Engine* & *oVirt-Node* in my lab as I want to
host a openstack kind of infrastructure hosting environment for my company.

Prior to that, I'd like to get information on the below listed statement.

I've created data domain, iso domain & export domain over the NFS.

Now, my VM is created by loading CentOS 7.9 ISO from "iso domain" & storing
"VM" data on "data domain".

Here, I'm just curious to know about the NFS efficiency to manage VMs
because the OS boots/loads from remote "NFS Data Domain", not from the
local storage (i.e. oVirt-Node)

Which is more efficient? NFS or iSCSI for VM Hosting?

I'm using oVirt on a OVH's dedicated server. The bare metal works as host and 
the engine is installed on a OVH's public cloud VM. I've also nested three 
other oVirts inside the host.
Maybe i could help you , what's your issue? I'd put my money on OVH network 
configuration :)

In 4.2 we have a better OVN support which should definitively help there.
Why not write and share a small blog post with your oVirt on OVH hints?

I'd be glad to do it!
Maybe i'll be able to use some spare time during the holydays.

meaning of a replica 1 solution? I mean, if i have only one host where's the

Of course no replica with replica 1, but you could start like that then add 
other 2 hosts in the future and gain replica 3 just with a little 
reconfiguration and probably also without any downtime.

You could install Engine on a machine and re-use the same machine and
install it as a hypervisor. Apart from minor conflict between firewall
configurations, it should work.

runs altogether in the same machine; the proposed replacement is

If you have three machines I'd suggest an hyperconverged gluster deployment
with replica 3.

Hi,

if you bought a dedicated server with virtualization extensions
enabled you should have no problems.

Ask your provider if that extension is enabled. A friend of mine on
hetzner is using KVM without issues, but required some tweaks about
network that you can find in their docs.

Yes, you can find a manifest-rpm file in the exported artifacts for the
ovirt-node-ng jobs.

The closest thing is /ovirt-engine/api/hosts/{host:id}/storage, but that
only provides the list of logical units that are visible to the host,
either using fibre channel or iSCSI. It doesn't include any information
about the partitions, and it doesn't allow creating or deleting partitions.
