Do you have a local dns server running with _ldap._tcp and _kerberos._udp
defined? I made also the experience that for the time I want to join the
domain I have to turn off the rpcproxy in the smb.conf file. Also when I
try to administrate the domain with the remote admin tools.

It depends on what you wanna do. My purpose was to set up a mail server
with sogo and an openchange backend for outlook support.

Hi,
I've successfully installed openchange and sogo2 on Ubuntu 12.04 and now and
the outlook compatibility works fine. I'm trying to use the samba4 in the same
machine as an AD server also. Dns is working fine, i've checked all the
records. I've tested kerberos login also, that also works
