[SOGo] access multiple users per Thunderbird account with connector

2012-03-11 Thread Martin Waschbüsch
Hi everyone,

Today I found a weird 'problem' concerning SOGo and Thunderbird Connector. I am
unsure if this is something I should rather ask on the Thunderbird list? If so,
please let me know. Also, I don't know for sure bug #0001029 is about the same
thing or related?

Anyway, my setup:

- SOGo 1.3.12c on CentOS 5.8
- Thunderbird 10.0.2 on either Mac or Windows
- Lightning 1.2.3
- SOGo Connector 10.0

The scenario:

Imagine one of two possible scenarios: The same person / user wants to use more
than one account on a given SOGo instance. Either because

A) the server hosts multiple domains via one FQDN to access SOGo and the user
in question has accounts for more than one such domain,
or
B) A server hosts only one domain, but the user needs access to two accounts on
the same domain.

The problem:

The way the current setup works, it seems impossible to make TB do that,
because it will 'remember' only one(!) username/password combo per host used,
effectively blocking access to a second account on the same host but with
different credentials.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem? Is this a limitation in the
Connector or in Thunderbird?

Thanks,

Martin

[SOGo] notification in apple iCal

2012-03-11 Thread Bruno Lingner (Hugo)

hi list

I have a question that is not directly tied to sogo.
why don't I see any notifications at all in apple iCal?
I tried to do everything they say in the help file from iCal,
but still no notification for new events appear in there.
I thought they shoud appear in the list, as soon as someone
invites me to a meeting, so i can keep track of events that
I have to respond to.
tried it in iCal 4 and 5 on macs, iPod and iPhones.
can anyone shed a light on this perhaps?

thanks

Re: Re: [SOGo] SOGo/Funambol/Calendar

2012-03-11 Thread javi
Hi,

I am struggling with the same problem described here and some how I screwed it
completely.

I followed this command (no idea what it does) stated in this thread
su - sogo
sogo-tool user-preferences unset settings THE_USERNAME Mail

and now I cannot login using funambol.

It was working with contacts (no calendar, no tasks). But now it does not work
at all, funambol says "invalid login".
In the logs I see:
[2012-03-11 21:13:15,147] [funambol.handler] [INFO]
[324C60863985DC5280861D92AC185FFA] [176.81.59.184] [fbb-598168674] [] [] User

Authentication failed for device fbb-598168674. Make sure that the client used
correct username and password and that there is a principal associating the
user to the device.

How can I reset that?
I have tried
"sogo-tool user-preferences set settings THE_USERNAME Mail"
but gives an error.
How can I fix this?

Thanks a lot, regards

Re: Re: [SOGo] SOGo/Funambol/Calendar

2012-03-11 Thread javi
Hi,

I answer myself.

I found that the command I issued did nothing.

The problem was, that after installing the new module funambol-sogo-1.0.9.s4j
the port of
ca/inverse/sogo/security/SOGoOfficer.xml
was changed to 31000 so I had to change it back (apparently after everytime I
issue bin/install-modules) to the port of my sogod (2).

Thanks anyway. It works great with this version, I have contacts, calendar and
tasks syncronising!

Re: [SOGo] notification in apple iCal

2012-03-11 Thread Piet Hein
I don't think server push features are implemented in SOGo (yet?). Afaik it's
not in the CalDAV specifications.

Apple uses an own extension to realise server push features, I believe it uses
XMPP.

Your clients should update their data if you manually refresh your client, you
should be able to schedule intervals between automatic refreshes (pull) in
most clients, in iCal the setting can be made in the 'Account Information'
screen of the 'Accounts' tab in the preferences.

But implementation of push features in SOGo would be great.

[SOGo] Re: cannot create new contacts or events using web UI

Hi,

Using sogo-1.3.6-1.el5, I cannot create a new address book contacts or
calendar events using the web interface.

When hitting save on either the new contact or the new event, the result
is a generic browser connection error page, since the form is attempting
to submit to rather than the
correct address of the calendar server, i.e.

Everything else seems to work fine.

I am using Apache as a front end on the calendar server, and have the
following proxy config:

BalancerMember http://127.0.0.1:2 retry=1 max=1 timeout=120
BalancerMember http://127.0.0.1:20001 retry=1 max=1 timeout=120

ProxySet lbmethod=byrequests maxattempts=1
Order deny,allow
allow from all

RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-port" "80"
RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-name" "collab.internal.xyz.com"
RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-url"
"http://collab.internal.xyz.com";
RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-remote-host" "127.0.0.1"

AddDefaultCharset UTF-8

Any suggestions?
