Hi guys.

One of ideas, to develop the extension for a web-browser or use
existing, which may notify about new messages in folder(s).

[SOGo] Character size, messages look smaller

2011-03-23 Thread philippe.dubois
Hi everybody.

New user of SOGo for a couple of days, SOGo works great but a little annoying
problem.
We are 25 in the service, most of them, Outlook friendly, did not really
agree with the evolution to SOGo.
And now with the online SOGo client, messages looks smaller and print smaller
either !
Please go back to Microsoft or buy us some new glasses !
how can I fix that ? (Mozilla CTRL+ works but it is not a suitable answer, do
not works with printer anyway)
I do not want to go back to MS servers, I do not want to implement any mail
client, just want to use SOGo online client.

Thanks everybody
Any idea would be strongly appreciated !

Probably the directest way to change sizes:

/usr/lib/GNUstep/SOGo/WebServerResources

But of course these probably will be overwritten by updates...

My customers are mostly using a normal mailclient like Thunderbird at
home. At work, on vacation, or while visiting friend, they are using the
webinterface, But there they cannot install a plugin.

Hi,

for a drop-in replacement of the SOGo default theme, see bug #758 and download
the attachment. I'm about to release a slightly improved version, but the one
attached is already usable.

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird Calendar Subscription Problem

2011-03-23 Thread Paul van der Vlis

 Hi,

I have installed the SOGo ZEG Virtual server and have got it working on
a fixed IP address on a local network with all of the defaults. I can
connect via the web page as well as with Evolution and access calendars
address books of all users. At this time we are not using SOGo as our
 mail server.

Sogo is not a mail server, it does not have mail-server functionality.
It has only mail-client functionality.

Even though we can access the dav calendars, contacts, and
tasks with evolution we can not do so with Thunderbird (connector or
integrator Lightning). In Evolution the Caldav subscription process
asks for the user password but Thunderbird does not -- I think this is
the problem. I understand that Thunderbird is trying to use the user
email information and password for this purpose but in our case we are
not using the sogo e-mail server and it cannot make a connection. We
have tried to setup dummy accounts with
 usern...@example.com
 mailto:usern...@example.com but this did
not seem to work. Please help if you have any ideas on hot solve this
 problem. Thanks.

You think wrong. Sogo does not use the e-mail password from Thunderbird
to access the calendar and addressbook. And Thunderbird does ask for a
password.when you first access the calendar, and it saves it in her
password store (I can see it). But it saves the password only one time
per server, so in my Thunderbird password store I see only 1 password
for my server https://sogo.vandervlis.nl/ SOGo even when I am
subscribted to many calendars and addressbooks on the server.

When you use SOGo's webinterface to access you mail, the webinterface
will use the sogo login-password to access your mailserver over IMAP.
But that's something else...

With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

[SOGo] Different SMTP server with multi-domain?

2011-03-23 Thread Ladislav Pašek

Hello,

do you think that would be possible to differentiate SMTP server like IMAP
through attribute in LDAP?

Something like SMTPHostFiledName ?
That would be nice non-critical feature for us that are using more than one SMTP
server in multi-domain config.

Best Regards

I rarely use SOGo's web interface on Android (G1, 640x480px) because the
glyphs come out so small. I've meant to dig into the CSS and fix this, and
your replacement theme will really help.

In my department I need to support screens ranging from the boss' old Treo
650 (320x320px) to a thing called Godzilla, for medical imaging research,
with dual 2560x1920px screens, plus a number of older profs have vision
problems -- an ADA compliance issue. My rule is to never set the body font
size explicitly, relying on the visually impaired user, or the OS's
defaults, to pick a font size appropriate to the display and the viewer's
eyes.

[SOGo] SOGo in thunderbird very slow

2011-03-23 Thread Christian Roessner
Hi,

excuse me for this question, but I realized that loading the calandars
in thunderbird is extremly slow. Loading a calendar with round about
600kb of data takes about 22 seconds on a MacBook Pro. If opening the
same calendar via the web interface, it is loaded in under 1 second.

Is there some way to improve speed?

I checked the logs, but can not see errors. It is a Quad Xeon 3,4
HP-Compaq with 8GB RAM and 1000M/s network. So this should be fast
enough. Hard disks are RAID-6 on Ultra wide-320 SCSI controller. I do
not know, where to search for the bootle neck.

I do not understand, why thunderbird takes so long. Just while writing
this mail, I tried it again. Thunderbird gets dark gray and seems to
freeze for a moment, then comes back. It does not matter, if I do it
from the LAN or from remote.

Do you have any ideas? That would be really great :)

Thanks in advance

Best wishes
Christian
