The both at begining an upgrade and after a fresh install.
After deleting sqllite acl I have always the bug.
I test with TB 8 + lightning classic , add manualy my cal and it's work.
So I think it could be the plugin : Integrator 106 or lightning Inverse
edition 106

In SOGo 1.3.7 and plugins in 105 I have no bug.
but where it's crazy : I have install too a SOGo ZEG 1.3.8 with plugins
105 and i have always the bug !

devices. We have tried tinkering with it some to get it compatible
with other devices like Android and AstraSync client for Blackberry
devices but the person who put it together is no longer answering
emails for about a year now.

Basically I am wondering if this is still in the works. Since we are a
state agency we have to have our mobile users connect their devices
only to port 80 or 443 since that is all that is allowed from the
outside. This means we have to use ActiveSync.
No, that is not true, you can very well use caldav and cardav for this,
they also go over http/https.

We use these android clients with very good results

http://dmfs.org/

For iOS we use the native cal/cardav functionality too.

The problems with activesync are:
- The different ActiveSync clients behave differently
- The zPush support is working only partially (Also with other backends)
- Caldav and Cardav are the "native" protocols of Sogo, so all
extensions (zPush, Funambol) add another layer with potentially problems
in it

My recommendation is to use email via activesync (if your fw admin is
braindead that he blocks imap/smtp) and caldav/cardav for everything else.

Yes, I have. I use the CalDAV and CardDAV module from android market for
this and the ContactEditorPlus from the same author. It works like a charm.

The latest statement from inverse is this one:

In short: Inverse waits for the ESR release of TB which is currently

So for the moment you have to stay on TB 3.1.x

Touchdown just plain refuses to initialize. I am not too worried about Blackberry at this point since about the only way it will work is with the $50/year astrasync client and I only have 2 Blackberry users on staff but they don't care about email or calendar access.

Any assistance is appreciated.

between the URL scheme for links in a single domain environment and the
URL scheme used in multi domains environment. Maybe you should have a

Hello,

since the upgrade to 1.3.9, users get disconnected randomly from SOGo
interface.
This happens sometimes when reading emails, and most often when editing
preferences.

I'm using multi domain setup, but it has been working fine for months.

I did not find anybody with the same issue yet, so any help would be

[SOGo] Online translation tool -- Transifx

2011-11-14 Thread Francis Lachapelle
Hi

We now host SOGo on Transifex (http://www.transifex.net/projects/p/sogo/). It
offers the possibility to translate all Localizable.strings files online as
well as providing a command-line tool to push your changes. Very convenient.

To use Transifex, you must first sign up for a free account :

https://www.transifex.net/plans/signup/free/

Once registered, request a new team for your language :

https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/sogo/teams/

Once authorized, you'll be able to start/continue translating SOGo in your
language.

For the initial import, it was necessary to ignore all strings that were
identical to the English translation. Therefore, even if your translation was
considered completed in version 1.3.9 of SOGo, you may need to add some missing
strings (example: if the translation of "email" in your language is also
"email", you'll need to add it back).

Help for using Transifex is available here : http://help.transifex.net/

The command-line tool of transifex is named "tx" and is available in Debian. We
already have pushed a configuration file for it :

http://mtn.inverse.ca/branch/head/file/ca.inverse.sogo.1_3_10/.tx/config

For those of you who prefer to continue sending us translations by email,
please do so.

Thank you!

Re: [SOGo] Survey: What does mean the "S" of scalability for your SOGo installation

2011-11-14 Thread Jordan Clark
As far as I can tell you have everything on one openvz container (MTA, LDAP,
DB, IMAP, Web server, SOGo). Is that correct? Are you running out of memory?
I assume you are because you just updated the memory of the container from 6 to
8GB. Compare your "maxheld" vs "barrier" of your "oomguarpages" in your
/proc/beancounters. If so do you know what is eating up your all of memory?

As for scaling to 3000+ users. You shouldn't probably have an issue with that.
SOGo probably won't be the bottle neck in the system as long as you set a
reasonable SOGo worker count. You really need to monitory the needs of all the
different parts of your mail system, find the bottle necks and resolve those
issues.

hope that helps,
Jordan

[SOGo] unknown Sieve capability 'imapflags'

2011-11-14 Thread Donny Brooks
I am working on our end user documentation for the SOGo web client and am on the sieve filters now. I can create filters no problem. That is until I set a filter to "Flag the message with...". When I set that and try to save the entries I get this in the sogo.log:

2011-11-14 11:07:52.080 sogod[12529] WARNING: Could not delete Sieve script - continuing...: {RawResponse = "{ok = 0; }"; result = 0; }
2011-11-14 11:07:52.084 sogod[12529] Could not upload Sieve script: {RawResponse = "{ok = 0; reason = \"sogo: line 1: error: require command: unknown Sieve capability 'imapflags'.
sogo: line 55: error: unknown command 'addflag' (only reported once at first occurence).
sogo: error: validation failed.
\"; }"; result = 0; }

So I google the imapflags error and I added the appropriate line to my dovecot.conf to enable the older cmusieve style imapflags. However this did not fix it. I am still unable to save any filter with "Flag the message with..." in it. I am using dovecot-sieve-1.2.11 and dovecot-managesieve-1.2.11 if that helps. Is this a SOGo problem or a dovecot issue?

[SOGo] Survey: What does mean the "S" of scalability for your SOGo installation

2011-11-14 Thread Stéphane GAUDICHE

Hi all, my question:
What does mean the "S" of scalability for your SOGo installation?
or how do you evaluate it?

Thanks all to help me to consider the performance of my installation
Summary:
Version SOGo 1.3.9 / lightning 105 (Fresh updated)

hardware a bit special (cause of virtualisation : openvz)
virtualiszation openvz / centos
memory 6 to 12 Go RAM
processordual core@1,7GHz
harddriveSAS 15KRPM

we just upgrade the contener from 6 to 8 Go RAM,(more if necessary)
same for processor upgrade from 1 to 3 VCPUs
operating system: debian 6 mostly up-to-date

Primary usage:
Nb potentials users: 3000 (students) only through the webmail (http)
interface

Secundary usage: (cause it really works fine)
~50 of 150 potentials sogo-connectors with thunderbird
~20 iPhone to synchronise agenda https://domain/users/dav/:443

mail server: cyrus imap
authentification: openldap

How could I measure/check some point level of scalabity?
Is there any way, maybe already integrated tool?
number of sogoworkers considering availability of RAM (6-8-10 Go)
postgresql input output

I'm a bit in the fog! cause we reach since Setpember an unknowned
maximum of users this year (+10%)

and even we try to anticipate the needs... it "seems" to be not enough.

If you consider there is a much better way to collect this sort of
information to help me and the community of sogo users

please fill free to purpose!

Could you be more specific? So, you can setup a CalDAV account on your
iPhone? But your appointments just doesn't show?

Maybe you could post your .GNUStepDefaults and your SOGo apache config?

There's no such table yet but I can point you to the source code :

The vCard to LDIF conversion is performed by the method "ldifString" in
SoObjects/Contacts/NGVCard+SOGO.m.

The LDIF to vCard conversion is performed by the method "vCard" in
SoObjects/Contacts/SOGoContactLDIFEntry.m.

Okay, I recognized a possible mistake in
http://wiki.sogo.nu/iOS?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=calendarSSL.

At first, only the config for CardDAV used virtual host declaration. At
that time both
http://wiki.sogo.nu/iOS?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=SOGo.conf
and
http://wiki.sogo.nu/iOS?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=calendarSSL
were one file.

Now, I changed this so CalDAV got its own virtual host definition.
After reloading apache, web access and access to my calenders with
Thunderbird etc. wasn't possible anymore.
I had to add the following line to my calendarssl.conf

ProxyPass /SOGo http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo interpolate

Otherwise SOGo wasn't accessible through https:///SOGo

Maybe you could update http://wiki.sogo.nu/iOS ?

I still can't create a CardDAV account. But I noticed something while
setting up SOGo that might be the problem.

I'm running a multi domain setup, postfix, openldap and dovecot are my
backend. Users authorize at postifx and dovecot with their email
address. In LDAP users look like cn=name,dc=host,dc=tld. Thus a users
email address is .

I added the following to my SOGo config:

SOGoForceIMAPLoginWithEmail
YES

SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID
YES

domains

host.tld

...

host2.tld2
...

Unfortunatly I couldn't login to SOGo web with . I had to add

SOGoLoginDomains

host.tld
host2.tld2

to my config. Now I just type into the username field, choose the
correct domain and can log in.

This means, the only way to setup calendar access in my iPhone (e.g) is
to type https://host.tld/SOGo/dav/ as the server address
and as the username.
This works and the iPhone creates the following address, which you can
see if you look into the advanced settings:
https://@./SOGo/dav/

Is all of this exactly what is supposed to happen? Do I have to define
SOGoLoginDomains? What is the syntax for CardDAV urls?
I am still trying to figure out why I can't access my address book.
When I surf to https://:8843 I get a blank page.
Browsing to https://:8843/SOGo/dav/ I get
An error occurred during object publishing
no WebDAV GET support?!
I understand that firefox has no WebDAV support. But I even tried to use
this url as the server address for my CardDAV account and it does not
work. Actually, I just can access the web page, there is no
authorization needed.

[SOGo] Automatic Login for internal Desktop usage

2011-11-14 Thread Matt
Hi All,

Ik think this project is great and I would like to intergrate into my
Desktops.

My question is if you can let a user automaticly login to his own session
in some way. All my apps are database driven, so that should not be the
problem, only auth from a desktop might be.

I have not found such a solution yet, but to use this like some sort of
outlook way without login would be great!

[SOGo] Sogo / Mobile Device / Funmabol does not do 2-way sync

2011-11-14 Thread Matt
Hi All,

I have managed to get the Sogo/Funambol sync working, but it does not work
as it should.

I have synced all contact to Funambol/Sogo using th Funambol client that
connected to sogo-card.

After I removed all contacts from the mobile device and resynced, all
contacts are in the Mobile device again but are gone in the Sogo
Addressbook.

When I look in Funambol, all contacts are there, so Funambol as "manager"
in the middle does not seem to work in the right way ?

Or should we run some cron that syncs Funambol -> Sogo from time to time ?

I hope someone can explain this behaviour.

Cheers,

Matt

I just sent patches to ports@ for sope and sogo, so you may try it. The patches
are against OpenBSD -current, but should also work for a 5.0 ports tree (well,
I haven't tested it, but should work ;).

I looked into it once, but it was very weird. However, there is just p2k11
right now. I have a lot of other stuff on my todo list, but when there is time
left, I can also look into funambol again. Actually, I personally don't have a
need for it, since I just down'n own a smartphone of any kind ;)

Hi All,

I have some strange error why sogo is not synced it seems.

I have set MySQL for my backend and it tries to look for PostgreSQL too
instead of MySQL.

Here is my Log

Are there any plans to give the changeable logo a sogo parameter too, in
order to preserve this change always?

By changing the PNG file itself, you always have to check before every
update, that its name is still the same.

This function is not yet implemented, see:
http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=255

So you have to use another IMAP client like Thunderbird to set the
subscribe Flags.

Re: [SOGo] Re: Centos 5 sogo update 1.3.9

2011-11-14 Thread Khapare Joshi
What I had to do was yum remove sope49* and yum remove sogo* also yum
remove gnuste* and install sogo again yum install sogo. Then copy your
config in right place. Well, that did work for me. Maybe there are some old
libraries, files still associated with old installation. Installaing new
sogo- you are loosing nothing really. Just a few more mintues.
