[SOGo] Re: LDAP - Composing MailFieldNames from id + domain?

2011-12-08 Thread Stavros Souvatzis
Please, do not bother answering that.
I managed a work around that I am not sure if I have seen somewhere else,
but here it is:

For the entry on the remote authentication server, I have created another
one, with the same uid, on the local LDAP server (residing on the sogo
server). So, the server seeks for a specific schema and it finds it. That's
all it needs to know apparently, for I only created the local LDAP entry
using only the MUST fields (uid, sn, cn).

Password and owner CN are checked against the (remote) authentication
server.

Problem would be to create an entry for every one on the remote LDAP, but
this can be scripted...

To end this, I would like to elaborate a bit on the error I described here
below.
The remote LDAP did bind, it did not however search, for it was requested
for a series of fields that were not present (something like SEARCH
attr=[an endless list]), providing thus an error (status 101).

Thanks for the response.  I followed another set of instructions to
install the software:
http://andries.filmer.nl/kb/Scalable-Open-Groupware-Org-SOGo/124#What%20is%20SOGo?
The official instructions are not easy to use.  That is why I looked
for step by step instructions

Now I can log in.  I will continue to work with SOGo to learn it and
see if I can get all of the features up and running.  I have plans to
use this commercially and purchase support, but want to get a feel for
the software first.

Re: [SOGo] Armel binaries for Debian Squeeze

2011-12-08 Thread alex1452
Hi,

Thank you very much for the links! However my question was really about the
repository: I already managed to compile and run SOGo on my Dockstar. I have to
re-do this every time there is an update to SOGo. With the repository I could
simply run an apt-get update and upgrade.

Do you think we could add the armel architecture to the repository?

Alex

There was a bug in 1.3.9 when using Mysql as the field name expects a

[SOGo] load evaluating per type of SOGo usage and ability

2011-12-08 Thread Stéphane GAUDICHE
SOGo provide several services Webmail, Calendar, Contacts to several
devices (email client, web browsers, Mobile Devices)

Question: how to evaluate each type of Service workload? and if possible
for each sort of devices

With SOGoDebugRequest = YES;

easy to read for the webmail access cause only from web browser:
Nov 28 09:47:26 sogod [3638]: SOGoRootPage successful login for user
'etu_user_id' - expire = -1 grace = -1

Is it right count number of "successful login"?

If right, then how to evaluate email-client interaction (workload) with
the SOGo Server?

And for then end, how to evaluate mobiles devices interaction (workload)
with the SOGo Server? Mainly Calendar synchronization?

(number, type and weight of requests)

Many thanks for your answers!

Re: [SOGo] Calendar owner changing

2011-12-08 Thread Christian Mack
Hi Alexander

As you don't use the integrator plugin from invers, you have to use the
SOGo web interface.

First create the new calendar.
Then you can import your *.ics file into it.
Select the new calendar and right click on it.
Now choose "Import events...".
Use the "Browse" button to navigate to your *.ics file and upload it.
That's it.

Be aware that all given privileges for other users will be lost.

Kind regards,
Christian Mack

Re: [SOGo] Calendar owner changing

2011-12-08 Thread IT Support Team

Hi, Christian!

It looks great, but how I can upload it in SOGo?
If I understand you correctly, I need export a calendar to .ics
file, then remove it from mail client of one user, and then open my .ics
file in mail client of another user.

Or it must be done on SOGo-server side?

 I use Thunderbirg+Lightning as client.

Alexander, IT Specialist

SOGo 1.3.9

This is currently not possible.
You only could export this calendar, delete it and reimport it by the
other user.
But there is only one owner at any given Time for a calendar.

[SOGo] LDAP - Composing MailFieldNames from id + domain?

2011-12-08 Thread Stavros Souvatzis
Having read the documentation, I am trying to find if there is any kind of
possibility for the following.

Our Authentication server (LDAP - Open LDAP) has a users group where mail
field has not been set as attribute to users. We already have over 3.500
records.

SOGo needs(?) to lookup the mail address in the LDAP database, using the
MailFieldNames declaration in the .GNUstepDefaults file.

The only way that I could manage to declare the mail address for any user,
without altering the existing format of our LDAP server, would be like that:
uid (field) + @domain.com (string)
that would not be wrong in fact, because this is exactly how the mail
addresses are formed.

Is there a way to do that, either in the .GNUstepDefaults file or by any
other means, like for instance, mangling the code or some conf file?

Thanks.

You only could export this calendar, delete it and reimport it by the

But there is only one owner at any given Time for a calendar.
